Coaching Summary

  1. Everything you do is to go forward
  2. BOTH classic and skating alternate a kick phase and a gliding phase (because you are on skies and not running)
  3. The kick or propulsion allows the gliding phase
  4. The transition between kick and glide is done through weight transfer
  5. The terrain and the speed dictates the kick frequency and the glide amplitude
  6. Always stay on a high hip when gliding to reduce muscular tensions
  7. ADAPT to your terrain
    1. Through transition of technique
    2. Frequency
    3. Amplitude
  8. ADAPT EARLY, before it becomes difficult. No need to hold V2 if you cannot pass the hill, you will lose all your speed, transition before you lose speed. The same goes for frequency or amplitude.
  9. DON’T RUSH IT, IT TAKES TIME TO GET BETTER AT ANYTHING
  10. TECHNIC IS DYNAMIC, NEVER STOP EVOLVING
