Summer Events

PVAW’s 2024 Summer Program is going to be a summer full of exploring our local valley and learning new skills and enjoying this fabulous community of women.  Some of the options for activities will include birding, nature sketching, hand embroidery, dying fabrics and more!

When you join the Plain Valley Adventure Women programs, you are learning and adventuring in community, as well as, supporting the youth of the valley!  All proceeds from the registrations for all PVST adult programs directly fund the 130+ youth who participate in the year-round training programs of the Plain Valley Nordic Team (PVNT).  Through the support of PVAW and other generous donors and businesses, PVNT removes financial barriers and offers this opportunity to local youth!

Thank you for being involved!

Bike

Group

PVAW community led Mountain Bike Group with weekly rides!

We ride “cross country” which is on forest paths. Most of these rides are considered easy to moderate, with minimal technical skills needed. The majority of our rides are local, in the Fish Lake and Chiwawa River Road area. I will plan some rides to Ski Hill, Sage Hills, Squilchuck, and Echo Ridge areas.

Road Bike

Group

PVAW community led Road Bike Group with weekly rides!

Last year there was a wide range of types of bikes and abilities. This year we hope that women can connect with each other with similar bikes and abilities to arrange their own rides.

We will then organize a monthly all inclusive ride.

Hiking Group

PVAW community led Hiking Group with weekly hikes!

The PVAW Hiking Group plans local hikes in the Wenatchee and Upper Valley on Fridays.

This is a volunteer led group and Ginny Thomas will be the Lead this year! She welcomes anyone who would like to help her organize and lead some of the hikes.
