Winter is not letting go and it will keep the trails open for at least a few more days. Another inch of snow early this morning with temperatures just above freezing means that that the conditions will be a bit soft and sticky again, but overall the trails groomed out better than yesterday. The skies are expected to clear up as the day goes on, so it should be a great day to get and enjoy the trails.
The Ginzu set new skate and classic as best as it could while still trying to ball up as much snow as it could and randomly let it spill out on the sides of the trail. If you catch it early enough, you may be able to.make it over the problem melt out areas while they are still covered.
The best conditions will again be in the wide open fields, but it's currently not too bad in the trees. Be aware of the Coyote on Swamp Creek that hasn't seemed too afraid of skiers.
We are still offering discounted $15 day passes online (CLICK HERE to purchase) or in person at Plain Hardware and hope that you get out and enjoy the 40% of our trails that are still being groomed.
Osprey Lodge Trailhead is our last remaining access point and use caution in the parking lot as it is icy and micro spikes are recommended.
