Groomer’s Report - Wednesday, 12/27/23

Good morning skiers! We are waking up to another beautiful day with fresh snow and great ski trail grooming! It is currently 30 degrees with some light flurries and 1" of new snow. Trails have fresh grooming for skate (except Mill Hill and Grizzly Mountain) and some fresh classic as needed. Otherwise the classic held up well yesterday and is still skiing well. Trails were groomed with Ginzu's starting at 4 AM and finished around 7:30 AM. Trails have decent coverage but be careful at all road/trail crossings where other user groups and kicking up dirt at times. Both skate and classic will be good today but don't forget to wax as this new snow has been a bit sticky. Hot waxing is avaliable at Plain Hardware.

Strava segments are going on Swamp Creek Loop, Meadow Loop, and Sprint Loop, so get out there and give it your best! Strava keeps records that are age/sex based so you don't have to compete against the young kids who ski fast!

PVST Trail Passes are required and can be purchased at Plain Hardware www.plainhardware.com or online at www.skiplain.com.

XC ski rental, sales, and service is avaliable at Plain Hardware, as well as a full range of XC clothing, including XC ski pants in youth sizes.

Rob D and Gus were today's groomers.

Have fun out there!
