Groomer’s Report - Wednesday 1/10/24

Good morning skiers! The clouds are parting, we have a dusting of fresh snow, and its 27 degrees! Should be amazing trails today! The high was 33 and last nights low was 24. The forecast high today is 32 so the trails will stay in great shape all day! Get some K's in before the deep freeze hits! Thursday nights low is forecast for 5 degrees, and Friday night is a chilly -3. We picked up about 10" Tuesday night/Wednesday morning and the trails are looking good. This morning we groomed Sprint Loop, Meadow Loop, Rowdy Coyote, Mill Hill, and the BCT between Meadow Loop Trailhead (Plain) and Mt. Springs Lodge with the PB100 Snowcat, fresh skate and classic. North of Mt. Springs Lodge we have groomed trails with the Ginzu groomer (we groomed them yesterday with the PB100 Snowcat so they are packed in, wide and flat). Today's picture from Mill Hill.

This past weekend has been packed with action for the Plain Valley Nordic Team (PVNT). The Gunnar Hagen 7.5 K classic race was held at Cabin Creek on Snoqualmie Pass. Outstanding races were Kirsten Jasmin 1st (FU20), Avery Houghton 4th (FU16), Annika Peterson 5th (FU16) and Cyan Worden 5th (FU14). On the boys side Kian Reid 1st (MU16), Micah Saugen 2nd (MU16), Olaf Saugen 4th (MU16), Kolston Breaux 5th (MU16), Tarim Worden 7th (MU16), Jed Stay 1st (MU14), Alex Shostakovich 2nd (MU14) and Aiden Samson 4th (MU14). Good work team, coaches and parents!

Trail passes are required and can be purchased at Plain Hardware www.plainhardware.com or online at www.skiplain.com.

Grooming today by Rob D and Caleb.
