Good morning skiers ! Grooming is finished on all trails for today! Good skiing out there. The snow is holding really well in spite of some above freezing temps in the afternoons. We currently have 27 degrees at 10 AM, overcast skies, and no new snow. The low was 18 and yesterdays high was 37. We groomed skate on all trails, and left classic from yesterday.
Our Plain Valley Nordic Team skiers are racing at US Senior Nationals, perhaps one of the most important races of the season in the US. We had some outstanding results with our U16 skiers taking a 3rd place, and two 5th places finishes amongst the U16 yesterday in the 10 K skate race, interval start. At this race the best skiers in the country are competing, including some member of the US Ski Team. Results are used to help select skiers to different international races, such as the U23 Junior Worlds, the U18 Scando Cup, and the Youth Olympic Games.
