Groomer’s Report - Tuesday 1/31/23

Good morning skiers! It was a cold one last night but that means the snow is going to hold all day with some fast skiing! It is currently 15 degrees at 9 AM. We have very light snow and a scant trace of new overnight. The low was 4 and yesterday's high was 28. Fresh skate and classic was groomed in with the PB 100 on the Meadow Loops, Sprint Loop, and the BCT between Plain and Mt. Springs Lodge. The section between Hot Tub Hill to the Hitching post (about 300 yards) is groomed for skate but no classic track and it is a bit rough and icy. Good skiing past that section for both skate and classic. Today's picture is north of Beaver Creek Trailhead.

Snowshoe trails are open and parking lots are plowed. All parking lots are icy so be very careful walking in your ski boots!

Trail passes are required and can be purchased online at www.skiplain or in person at Plain Hardware. Plain Hardware also offers XC ski and snowshoe rentals, hot waxing, and full line sales and service for XC gear. The coffee's not bad either!

Today's groomers were Caleb, Rob D, and Jason.

Have fun out there - it's fast!
