Good morning skiers! The skiing has been amazing! I skated yesterday until almost noon, and it was firm and fast! We had a low of 23 last night, so today the trails should be firm all morning and into the early afternoon.
We are focusing our grooming on the trails that have good snow coverage. This is primarily Meadow Loops, Sprint Loop, the Stadium/practice area, the BCT between Plain and Mt. Springs, and the trails from Swamp Creek to Stonewater Ranch (trails around the Beaver Creek Trailhead). We have good coverage on these trails and mostly clean snow. Today's picture is from the BCT north of Beaver Creek Trailhead. It will ski fast this morning!
We hope to continue grooming these areas and hope to be open into this coming weekend, conditions permitting. Grooming started around November 7th, we are closing in on 5 months of groomed trails!!! That's a great season!
The BCT at Mt. Springs is re-routed over the horse sleigh bridge. The bridge is melted out but you can walk across the bridge and regain the groomed trail.
Enjoy the late season skiing!!!
