Groomer’s Report - Saturday, 1/6/24

Good morning skiers! Fresh snow and blue skies this morning. It's going to be a great day to ski! Fresh skate and classic groomed this morning between 5 AM and 7 AM. Trails look awesome! We still have some thin spots so be careful at all trail intersections (driveways, highways, sleigh/snowmobile trails) where other user groups have stirred up some mud and dirt. Hot Tub Hill and the Hitching Post continue to be in rough shape with low snow coverage so take you time there. Best snow is still on the trails north of Mt. Springs so consider using the Clear Creek or Beaver Creek trailheads. We groomed with the PB100 snowcat south of Mt. Springs and used the large Ginzu north of Mt. Springs. We do have some significant snowfall predicted this week (7" on Monday night) so now is the time to get some good K's in on firm trails and set some Strava segment records!

Trail passes are required and can be purchased at Plain Hardware www.plainhardware.com or online at www.SkiPlain.com.

XC ski and snowshoe rentals area avaliable at Plain Hardware. You can get a fresh hotwax there as well! They have a full service XC shop as well and now's a great time to grab a new pair of skate skis!

Lesson are avaliable and can be set up online at www.SkiPlain.com.

Gus, Rob D, and Jason were today's groomers.

Have fun out there!
