Groomer’s Report - Saturday, 1/20/24

Good morning skiers! We have fresh skate and classic on most trails. Today, ALL trails are groomed so check out Chainsaw Ridge, Lumi Lane, and Cougar Run! Grizzly Mountain also is groomed on both sides! All have fresh skate and many have fresh classic. It is currently 22 degrees at 9 AM. The low was 19 and yesterday's high was 25. No new snow. Snowcat grooming between Plain and Stonewater, with Ginzu grooming north of Stonewater. Today's picture is on the BCT, just north of Stonewater Loop.

We will be holding a race on the Sprint Loop tomorrow, so we did a test groom (classic) on that route. This means we didn't groom it for skate and the classic tracks take "best line" and wander into the skate lane in many places. The race is part of the Washington Nordic Cup series www.wncup.org and racing starts at noon on Sunday, 1/21/24. Spectators welcome!

Trail passes are required and can be purchased at Plain Hardware www.plainhardware.com or online at www.SkiPlain.com. Plain Hardware also offers XC and snowshoe rentals.

Jason and Rob D were today's groomers.

Have fun out there!
