Groomer’s Report - Monday 12/19/22

Good morning skiers! This morning we have 8 degrees at 10 am, with moderate, very fluffy snowfall. We have about 4" of new overnight. The low was 7 and yesterday's high was 18.

We started grooming about 6:30 am. Only a light amount of snow has fallen since then. We have fresh skate and classic on most trails. We used the PB-100 snowcat on the Meadow Loop Trails, the BCT between Mt. Springs and Plain Trailhead, and on the Sprint Loop. The snowcat packs better/quicker than the Ginzus so this will offer the firmest platform. We groomed with the Ginzu Groomers on all other trails.

Today's picture shows the Stadium/practice area. This is a nice flat and wide area to teach in or practice technique, skate or classic. It's great for beginners!

Snowshoe trails are open. Lots are not yet plowed bu very passable as the snow is super fluffy.

Trail passes are required and can be purchased online at www.skiplain.com (you can book a lesson here too!) or in person at Plain Hardware. Plain Hardare offers trail maps, trail advice, hot waxing, and XC gear sales and service.

Have fun out there!

Jason, Gus, and Josiah, today's groomers.
