Groomer’s Report - Friday, 12/16/22

Good morning skiers! Another great day out there! We currently have 20 degrees after a low of 19. Yesterday's high was 32. Snow is still "squeaky" cold and dry, and skiing very well. We have groomed fresh skate on most trails this morning, starting at 6 AM. Classic is in very good shape on most of the trails.

Today's photo shows Caleb grooming on a Yamaha Grizzly quad with Camoplast tracks. He's pulling a Yellowstone Track Systems 108" wide Ginzu Groomer. We use four quad setups which allows us to groom with a minimal amount of snow. This allows for early openings of our trail system. They are also very economical (and simple) to operate and they do the bulk of the grooming on our trail system. Trails have been groomed and open since November 7th and the grooming/skiing has been fantastic!

Snowshoe trails are open. Parking lots are plowed and have ports-potties in place.

Trail passes are required and can be purchased on-line at www.skiplain.com or in person at Plain Hardware. Plain Hardware also offers xc ski and snowshoe rentals, xc equipment sales, hot waxing, and xc ski clothing.
