Groomer’s Report - Friday 1/5/24

Good morning skiers! It's currently 27 degrees at 9 AM. The low was 25 and yesterday's high was 37. No new snow and currently overcast. Light snow is in the forecast for today. We have fresh skate on most trails but with the warm day yesterday we have some hard/icy conditions today. If we get a dusting of fresh today it will be really good skiing. Some fresh classic set between the Hitching Post, north to Stonewater Ranch. Otherwise the classic track was left from yesterday and is in good shape. Grooming was with the Ginzu's. I'd pick classic today as the skating is a bit challenging with the current snow conditions.

The PVNT junior team is racing at US Nationals (our highest level domestic race). We had a great result yesterday in the skate (freestyle) sprint with FU16 Caroline placing 2nd in her age division! They are racing again today, sprint distance 10 K.

Trail passes are required and can be purchased at Plain Hardware www.plainhardware.com or online at www.SkiPlain.com.

Low snow conditions exist so please ski with caution. Be very careful on the hills due to today's icy trails.

Jason and Gus were today's groomers.

Have fun out there!
