Groomer’s Report - Friday 1/13/23

Good morning skiers! It was a bit rainy overnight but this morning it has stopped raining but it remains overcast. We have been stuck at a temp of 32.5 for some time. In spite of the temps and rain, I had a great classic ski (on my skin skis) yesterday afternoon. The skins were sliding fast! Come see us at Plain Hardware if you would like to demo some skin skis. The best skiing will be the Meadow Loops, Sprint Loop, and the BCT between Plain and Mt. Springs Lodge. Classic tracks on the remainder of the system have been skied in and are looking good.

Snowshoe trails are open and lots are plowed.

Trail passes are required and can be purchased online at www.skiplain.com or in person at Plain Hardware. XC ski rentals, snowshoe rentals, and a full service XC gear sales/service is offered at Plain Hardware (www.plainhardware.com).

There is a youth race on the Sprint Loop trails on Sunday, January 15th. This will limit parking on Sunday at the Plain/Meadow Loops Trailhead. Clear Creek and Beaver Creek trailheads are good options. The racing starts at noon. The Sprint Loop will be closed to the public on Sunday until the event is finished.
