Groomer's Report... 12/31/2024

The last day of 2024... If your goal was to ski 5000km in the year, today is your last chance.

No significant new snow last night and temps got just below freezing, but not as cold as they were calling for.

Once again, the northern sections of trail from Mountain Springs Lodge were Ginzu groomed last night for skate with good results, so the skiing should be really nice this morning. Classic is still holding up, but be aware of low snow conditions under the trees where it could be icy.

The SnoCat was used this morning to set skate on Meadow Loop, Sprint Loop and both skate and classic on the BCT up to Mountain Springs Lodge and the Mill Hill Complex (Mill Hill, Rowdy Coyote, Chainsaw Ridge and Cougar Run were freshened up with a Ginzu, but be aware of potential low snow conditions under the trees.

Enjoy the last day of 2024!! (and finally some cooler conditions) and may 2025 bring us more snow!!

All 3 trailheads are open and just a reminder that our northern most trailhead is at Osprey Lodge Trailhead at the 1000 Trails main entrance, which might be the best option if you have a low clearance vehicle. (No longer the Clear Creek Trailhead). As always, use caution in the parking lots as there could be ice (Micro Spikes recommended) and can be quite slushy as temps warm up (4wd recommended).

Disclaimer: Our Nordic Pulse map is a work in progress as we are still coordinating the GPS tracking to align with the actual trails, but all trails are currently open.

Just a reminder to check out the first event of our Tour De Plain Series coming this weekend Jan. 3-6! Click the link for more info.
