Groomer's Report... 1/13/2025

We finally got the cold temperatures last night that we've been waiting for as it's 20 degrees out this morning which will make all of the trails solid and fast.   We just need to match these cold temps with more snow, so hopefully that will be coming sometime in our future.

The Meadow Loop, Sprint Loop and Beaver Creek Trail from the Meadow Loop Trailhead out to Mountain Springs Lodge all have fresh skate and classic from our SnoCat and it also made the climb up Mill Hill again.  Skiing in all of these areas should be really nice.  The Ginzu was used to scratch the skate surface on Rowdy Coyote, Chainsaw Ridge and Lumi Lane in the south.  (The bare spots on Cougar Run have spread to cover the whole trail, so we have temporarily closed it as seen on the map.)  Also use caution on the BCT as is goes through the hitching post area of Mountain Springs Lodge as there are a few bare spots showing that can be skied around.

Minus a few thin and icy areas under the trees, the rest of the trail system north is holding up nicely and also had a Ginzy freshen up the skate lanes.  Open areas around the Beaver Creek Trailhead and Osprey Lodge Trailhead are looking great and should be enjoyable skiing.

All 3 trailheads are open but could be a little icy this morning so micro spikes are recommended.  The Beaver Creek Trailhead parking lot has some large bare/muddy spots to avoid, not recommended for low clearance vehicles.
