3/19/19 – I am just back from skiing the trails and it was great spring skiing. Last night we set fresh classic and skate, and it was skiing very well. We currently have a high of 56 (!) at 2 pm, but where the trails were in the shade, they are frozen solid! We will groom skate and classic tonight starting at 5 pm for tomorrow. This means we need skiers to stay off the trails after 5 pm. This will allow the grooming to set up with the low overnight temps. We are nearing the end of the season. While we should be good through this weekend, we have some problem areas. All road crossing are melted out. At Mountain Springs, a small section is melted out by the barn and horses, so a small section to walk. 99% of the trails are in great shape! Rob & Jason, today’s groomers.
