Groomer’s report – Saturday 9 AM

It is currently snowing! Under partly sunny and still snowing skies we have picked up 1/4 inch (yeah – wow!) of new snow, but it is just what we needed for the classic tracks to take the glaze ice away! The skate platform has been groomed with two passes of the leveling drag and is skiing very nice!

It is currently 19 degrees. The overnight low was 17, and yesterday’s high was 27.

More snow is on its way this weekend! It’s great skiing – get out there and have some fun!

Groomer’s report – Friday 10 AM

Sunny and bright blue skies this AM. Yes – it is a bit crisp! Currently it is 17 degrees. The overnight low was 5 and yesterday’s high was 25. No new snow. The skate platform has been groomed with two passes at 7 AM today. We have left the classic tracks alone for now – waiting for some new snow to re-set them. They are glazed and fast in the tracks – very fun and fast!

Looks like snow on it’s way for Saturday and Sunday, and Tuesday!

Get out there and soak up some sun!

Rob

Groomer’s report – Thursday 9 AM.

Good morning! Under a high overcast it is 15 degrees. No new snow. The overnight low was 7 and yesterday’s high was 30. We have groomed this morning with two passes on the skate lane. It’s looking great – soft on the surface but a very firm base. Great skating – and the surface is smooth, consistent, and free of any icy spots as we are not under any trees! We have left the classic track alone as it is in good shape. It is somewhat glazed but fun to ski!

Come on out and rip it up! Looks like fresh snow on its way early next week.

Groomer’s report – wednesday – 9:00 am

Good morning skiers!  Under a partly sunny sky with some high overcast it is currently 18 degrees.  The overnight low was 10 and yesterday’s high was 40.  No new snow.  The skate lane is grooming out very well – firm and very fast, yet forgiving on the surface.  We have great snow – clean, totally smooth, and no icy spots!

We have left the existing classic tracks as they are in great shape.  They are glazed but until we get some fresh snow we will stick with them for now.  Very fun double poling in the tracks.  All is tracked except the Rob’s Roller Coaster section of hills.

Groomer’s report – Tuesday – 8:30 am

Good morning! STILL no new snow with a current temp of 29 degrees. Last nights low was 27 and yesterdays high was 38. Trails have been groomed this morning and conditions are good, the skate lane is smooth and the classic lane is set in good and rock solid, should be a great day of skiing.

Don’t forget we are having the full moon ski tonight so if you want to come down then meet us at Plain Hardware at 7:30.

P.S. PRAY FOR SNOW!!!!

Groomer’s report – Monday 9 AM.

Good morning! Under a lifted fog we have a current temperature of 28 degrees, with no new snow. The overnight low was 24 and yesterday’s high was 37. The trails are freshly groomed this AM starting at 7 AM. I’ve left the classic tracks alone as they remain in good shape although glazed. Some very fun & fast double poling in the tracks! The skate platform is in perfect shape and the skiing is very nice. Full coverage in all areas, clean snow, and no icy spots! Great skating right now!

Did you see the full moon last night! I did get out to ski the trails last night. The moon was so bright I could ski without my headlamp.

We are planning a free community event for Tuesday night. It is a full moon ski. Meet at Plain Hardware at 7:30. I’ll touch up the trails in the late afternoon so we have perfect snow. Skate or classic.

Groomer’s report – Sunday 8 AM.

Good morning, skiers! Under a high but broken overcast it is currently 27 degrees, the overnight low was 25, and yesterday’s high was 31. No new snow. The trails are grooming out very nicely and we have great skiing today! The classic tracks have set in very well and will be skiing very fast! Tracks not set on Rob’s Roller Coaster section, but they are on all other trails. The forecast for today is sunny with a high of 33! Perfect!

Did my first night ski last night on the trails – that was fun and exciting/scary as my headlamp needed some fresh batteries! We do have a full moon on Monday, and the skies should be clear Tuesday night! If you have never tried a night time ski under a full moon – well – here’s your chance!

Have a great ski!
