Groomer’s report for Wednesday, 10 AM.

It’s a beautiful, crisp, and sunny morning today! Under clear skies the current temperature is 22 degrees. No new snow. Yesterday’s high was 47 degrees (ouch), and the overnight low was 20. The trail was groomed yesterday evening while it was still above freezing so it is actually in decent shape in many areas. The hill section is very rough with grass in areas due to yesterday’s warm temps, but much of the trail system is holding up fairly well. No classic track is set but you can classic ski on the skate lane. The skating will be fast today! The skate lane is irregular in sections due to low snow conditions.

Groomer’s report for Tuesday, 10 AM.

Sunny today! It is currently 38 degrees. Yesterday’s high was 29, and the overnight low was 17. No new snow. No new grooming last night as the trail was holding up very well! No classic track set at this time due to low snow depth. The skating is fun right now but somewhat uneven do to snow depth. You can classic ski on the skate lanes if you want!

Let’s hope we get a bit of snow from the storm heading through this evening!

Have a great ski!

Groomer’s report for Monday, 11 AM

Under partly sunny skies it is currently 25 degrees. Last nights low was 15 and yesterdays high was 36. No new snow. The trail has been lightly groomed with one pass. The snow is firm under foot yet still soft on the surface – no ice! The fresh snow from Wednesday night is nearly fully transformed to old snow, but it remains loose and light on the surface. Klister wax if you are waxing for grip. No classic track set due to low snow depth. The skating is fast and fun right now even with minimal snow!

Groomer’s report for Sunday, 9 AM.

Incredible sunrise this morning! With mostly blue skies it is currently 21 degrees. The overnight low was 20 and yesterday’s high was 28. No new snow. Trails were groomed with a single pass this morning at 8 AM. The skate lane is firm yet very nice as a result of Wednesday’s new snow. It is some what uneven due to the low snow depth. Good skating overall! No classic track set due to low snow depth.

Have a great day and come enjoy the sun!

Groomer’s report for Saturday, 8 AM.

Another great day in Plain! We have a low overcast and current temperature of 24 degrees. The overnight low was 23, and yesterday’s high was 31. The new snow from Wednesday night is holding up well and is still light and soft on the groomed trails. The trails were groomed this AM starting at 6 AM. I made a single pass only due to the low snow conditions, but the trails came out great and there is some good skating to be had. I have not set a classic track due to low snow conditions, but I might try in some sections where the snow is deeper later today.

Have a great day of skiing!

Groomer’s report Friday, 7 AM.

Good morning skiers! Under broken clouds we have a current temperature of 23 degrees. Yesterday’s high was 33 and the overnight low was 18. The trails were groomed this morning starting at 5 AM and finished at 6:45 AM. The snow is virtually unchanged from yesterday’s fresh snow, so if you are waxing classic skis still a hard wax for the grip zone. The forecasted high is 34. No classic track has been set due to low snow, for you junior nords, classic skiing with no track is great balance/control practice!

Groomer’s report

Good morning! Under clear skies with 1-1/2″ of new powder it is currently 17 degrees. The overnight low was 15 and yesterday’s high was 23. The skate lane has been groomed. No classic track set at this time due to lack of snow depth. The skiing should be great today! Enjoy!

Groomer’s report for Wednesday, 11 AM.

It is currently overcast and 22 degrees. We had an overnight low of 11 and yesterday’s high was 21. No new snow. No fresh grooming due to low snow conditions. The classic track and skate lanes are hard and icy. Forecast is for a storm to come in tonight and drop 3-4 inches!!! We need it!

Groomer’s report for Tuesday, 9 AM.

Good morning! Today we have a low overcast and a current temperature of 13 degrees. The overnight low was 7, and yesterday’s high was 32. No new snow and no new grooming until we get more snowfall. That should happen Wednesday night with 3″ predicted! That will go a long way to making for some great skating. We may need more to set a good classic track but time will tell. The classic and skating conditions remain rugged, with ice and an uneven surface covered with a skiff of new snow that fell Sunday night (1/2″).

Groomer’s report for Monday, noon.

Sunny and 1/2″ of new snow last night. It is currently 28 degrees. Last night we hit a low of 12 and yesterday’s high was 27. No new grooming until we get more snow. Trail is icy and irregular under last nights skiff of snow. Forecast calls for 1 to 3 inches of snow Wednesday night!
