Wow – what a sunrise this AM! Under sunny skies and 1″ of new snow it is 24 degrees. The skating looks to be the best I’ve seen all year. Classic track set. Get out and play!

6″ of new snow last night. It is currently broken clouds and 31 degrees. Grooming is in progress and skate a classic skiing will be ready by 9 AM.

Under sunny skies it is currently 38 degrees. No new snow. We did have rain yesterday and early this morning, then the temps dropped below freezing. Some ice formed but the sun and warming temps will take care that shortly. The trail has been groomed but we are continuing to work on it right now to smooth out the skate platform. The classic tracks are set from yesterday and may be icy in the shade but good in most areas due to the sunshine! Forecast is calling for 3 – 7 inches of new snow tonight!!!

Yeah!!! 8″ of new snow last night. Some rain on top of it but currently it is broken clouds, NOT raining, and 32 degrees. The overnight low was 26 and yesterday’s high was 36. The trail was groomed last night during the storm and also this AM for both skate and classic. The skate lane is packing in well but the warm temps and rain is keeping it a bit soft. It should firm up as the day goes along.

Fresh snow and some blue skies (with some low clouds) this morning. Yesterday the skating was fantastic and today it will be even better! We also have set a classic track on much of the trail system. It is currently 28 degrees, the overnight low was 26, and yesterday’s high was 36.

Come out and play in the snow and then stop in at Plain Hardware for a tasty latte!

Some much needed snow fell yesterday and it has groomed out nicely! It is currently 28 degrees with a high overcast. The overnight low was 22 and yesterday’s high was 36. About 1 inch of new snow fell. Good skating today except for the hill sections remain rough. No classic track set until we have a bit more depth to work with. You can classic ski on the skate lane.

Merry Christmas! It is currently 30 degrees and it has started snowing! The trail was groomed with a single pass this morning. Some good skating on the perimeter loop. The hill section is very rough with grass and holes here and there – avoid it! Free skiing today!!! Have fun!

Merry Christmas! It is currently snowing and we have 1/2″ of new snow. The temperature is 25 degrees. The overnight low was 16 and yesterday’s high was 29. Due to low snow depth there was no new grooming last night. With the new snow the skating should be good today in general but we still have some areas that are uneven and some where some grass is showing. No classic track set but users have skied in a track in many sections of the trail. The forecast looks like we should get a good storm on Monday night!

Good morning, skiers! It is currently 17 degrees under partly sunny skies. The overnight low was 8, and yesterday’s high was 32. No new snow. The skate lane was groomed yesterday evening while the snow was still soft from the days high temperature. Overall the skating is on some very firm snow that is uneven in areas, with some patches of grass showing here and there. Some sections are very nice and other are rough. A classic track has been skied in by users in many areas. I’d avoid the main hill section due to rough conditions, but that still leaves many K’s of skiing! Snow is coming soon!

Sunshine but crisp this morning! It is currently 17 degrees. Last nights low was 8, and yesterday’s high was 41. No new snow. No new grooming last night due to low snow depth. The skate lane is on the icy side and somewhat irregular due to the limited snowpack. I’ve been unable to set a classic track due to lack of snow depth but you can classic ski on the skate platform, and skiers have skied in track in several sections. The long term weather forecast looks great with the jet stream swinging down from the north and ushering in a series of storms!!!

Looks like it will be another beautiful day to ski in Plain! The sunshine should soften the trails by noon.
