Groomer’s report – Monday 8 AM

Good morning, skiers! Still no new snow so we are NOT grooming anymore at this point. There is still skiing to be had on our trails. It will be hard and icy early, and getting softer as it warms up.

The State Park has now limited it’s grooming to ONLY the Kahler Glenn section of trail.

Fish Lake Snowpark was groomed last night. It is a multi use area with snowmobiles, sled dogs, and skiers. Best if you get there early while the snow is in good shape.

We do have some snow in the extended forecast. Time will tell if we get enough to groom.

Under clear skies it is currently 27 degrees. No new grooming last night due to low snow depth. Trail is getting a bit melted out – ski with caution! Still fun and should be a warm spring day today!

Sunny and 35 right now! Great spring skiing! I’ve done a double pass with the drag/leveler and we have a somewhat smooth skate lane for skate or classic skiing. No tracks set today. It is very firm right now but will get softer as the day goes on. The best skiing will be before 2 PM! Not much snow left out there. Ski today!

Good morning, skiers! Although the snow pack is getting down there, we will be grooming for this weekend! The skate lane looks very good and should be great skating until late afternoon when it may soften up. The snow remains clean with full coverage where is has been groomed. We will also have classic skiing open but due to lack of snow depth we may not be able to set a good classic track, but I will try!

Today we have sun and blue skies! The overnight low was 24, and it is currently 38 degrees. No new grooming last night. Skiing today will be a bit rough. Should be much better tomorrow!

The snowshoe trail is closed for the season due to lack of snow.

Groomer’s report – Wednesday

Skiers – Continued warm weather, wind, and sunshine have left the trail too soft to groom at this time. Skiing is marginal at best, and I don’t recommend it until it cools down. Better conditions may be found on the Lower Nason Ridge Trail at the Kahler Glen Snowpark. Forecast is not promising for more snow at this time.

The snowshoe trail is melted out and is now closed for now.

Let’s hope for a return to more normal weather and some snow!

Groomer’s report – Tuesday 8 AM

Good morning, skiers! Under broken skies it is currently 39 degrees. Last nights low was 37 and yesterday’s high was 49. No new snow.

The trails held up very well yesterday and were firm well into the afternoon. Last night they firmed up very well and I groomed them with a double pass of the drag/leveler at 6 AM this morning. Should be very fun and fast in the AM hours! The classic track is somewhat degraded from sun and wind but still holding up. I will re-set it before the weekend.

Good morning! Another bluebird day out there! It is currently 38 degrees. The overnight low was 21 and yesterday’s high was 49. No new snow. The skate lane was groomed with a double pass last night and should be rocket fast this morning, and softening with sun and temps as the day goes on. The classic track was groomed Friday and is in great shape!

The snow remains clean and we have full coverage on the trails, except for the Beaver Hill Loop. The entrance is completely melted out and is closed.

The snowshoe trail is partially melted out and we will decide in the next few days whether or not to keep it open.

The new ski trail to Mt. Springs Lodge is open – check it out!

Wow! What a beautiful morning! Under bluebird skies it is currently 22 degrees. The overnight low was 20, and yesterday’s high was 40. I groomed the skate lane last night and it should be very fast this morning! Classic tracks were groomed early Saturday and are in great shape. The 8 K Loop and the Beaver Valley Lodge Trail are open for both skate and classic skiing. The Beaver Hill Loop Trail has melted out at the entrance and is closed at this time.

Good morning! Under sunny skies it is 35 degrees. The overnight low was 25, and yesterdays high was 45. No new snow.

We have a new section of trail that now connects the 8 K loop to Mt. Springs Lodge! Very scenic! Check it out!

Fresh grooming today, both skate and classic. Great skiing today. The Beaver Hill Loop has not been groomed as the entrance has melted out. Great coverage, clean snow, no ice!
